The World Of Bethesda Games Is Looking Even Better Than Ever

Bethesda just wrapped up their E3 2016 Showcase and not only did they give updates on DLC coming to The Elder Scrolls Online, Fallout Shelter, Doom and Fallout 4, they also gave more information on Dishonored 2, which was announced last year. They also announced Quake Champions, Prey and Fallout VR.

First up, lets talk about Dishonored 2, the follow up to the 2012 game, players will get to play as either Corvo or Emily and players will have to escape to the city of Karnaca, a location that sits upon the water and offers players all new ways to explore the world and boy does it look like a great world.

Emily herself is the new playable character and while she has some similar skills, but also sports some very impressive new ones, like the ability to pull things towards her, or the ability to link enemies together, so when you damage one, the rest take the damage as well. Perhaps one announcement that people did not fully get is that when you purchase the game, for a limited time, you will also get a free copy of Dishonored Remastered for your platform, giving you a double dose of stealthy goodness.

Quake Champions was also announced, much to the excitement of a very number of people. This is Quake built for the modern esports community, but also designed to be accessable to players of all skill levels, sadly though apart from that and the cinematic trailer, no more details until Quakecon in August.

The other new title that was announced was Prey, not Prey 2, but a fully rebooted Prey lead by the Dishonored creative director and developed by the team at Arkane Austin. While the game has potential, sadly no other details were really given about how it will play, for now all I can say is think Dishonored in space and you are thinking along the right lines.

Fallout 4 was talked about, with Todd Howard giving players a look at the next round of DLC coming to the game, with the first Contraptions coming next week. Contraptions will let you build things like elevators, conveyor systems and rube goldberg machine, to as much as they want.

Then next month, players will finally be able to construct their own Vaults underground, which is something I have wanted since day 1, but not only can you build the vaults, you can run them as vaults. Should you desire, you can actually create reasons for your Vaults to exist in the form of experiments.

After that though, comes another very meaty expansion in the form of Nuka World, how big the expansion is, is yet to be seen, but there is quite the potential for some serious fun to be had there. Of course, riding a 200+ year old rollercoaster might be a little dangerous.

Here is the updated description from Bethesda on Nuka World
Take a trip to Nuka-World, a vast amusement park now a lawless city of Raiders. Explore an all-new region with an open wasteland and park zones like Safari Adventure, Dry Rock Gulch, Kiddie Kingdom and the Galactic Zone. Nuka-World features new quests, Raiders, weapons, creatures and more. Enjoy the ride!

Of course to see all of this in action, watch the trailer below and the trailer also is where you will see the first footage of The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim Special Edition.

The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim Special Edition brings the game to current consoles and PC, offering completely redesigned assets and lighting, as well as offering up mod support as well on the console, in game. Check out the screens below to see just how good it now looks on console.

The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim Special Edition is set to release on October 28th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

They also gave an update on DOOM, which only just released and its worth getting. If you are one of the few people who have not given the game a go yet, starting now and running for the next seven days, you can download the first level of the game, to give it a go. If you have the game and want to know more about SnapMap and Multiplayer, check out the video.

Bethesda did have a great show, some technical issues kept them from starting on team and the stream did drop video and sound for about 15 second during the Legends segment, but it was a great show still.
