Yooka-Laylee Toy Box Is Open For Exploration
Yooka-Laylee might be a while from its full release, but today Kickstarter backers, who have pledged from a set tier and above can now download the Toy Box, giving them their first sample of the games action.
There are moves to try, custom-built props to play with, secrets to discover and yes, shiny collectibles to hunt out. Playtonic has even included a never-before-seen NPC to chatter with.
Toybox will offer backers the chance to be the first people outside Playtonic to try out Yooka-Laylee’s core mechanics, and the developer will be gathering your feedback on stuff like controls, cameras and movement.
This is also not going to be released on its own and is only for those who backed the right tiers. Of course, this means there will likely be some very cool videos coming soon.
Yooka-Laylee is expected to release in Q1 of 2017 for Wii U, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC
