In a surprising move, Microsoft Game Studios and Rare have announced that the Sea of Thieves closed beta has been extednded by another 48 hours, now coming to close on Wednesday Jan 31st at 7pm AEDT.

The extended time comes as a number of players have experienced issues when trying to play the closed beta, giving those players more time to access and enjoy it. As of course, with any beta, there is always time when issues occur, which is the point of a beta test.

The game is still ready to make land on March 20th, for Xbox One and Windows 10 PC's
