Age of Empires 4 has made its move to consoles today

In a surprising move, Xbox have announced that the Age of Empires IV: Anniversary Edition is out now, which if you are not aware is the console version of the very popular Age of Empires IV game.

Built from the ground up for Xbox players, including native inputs for Xbox controller, a console-specific user interface, and an intuitive new tutorial designed to help onboard new players.

Everything Age fans know and love about Age of Empires IV is included: players can build cities, manage resources, and lead their troops to battle on land and at sea. All of this can be played out across four distinct campaigns with 35 missions spanning 500 years of history – from the Dark Ages up to the Renaissance – all from the comfort of your living room. Skirmish and Multiplayer features a selection of 10 diverse civilizations across the world: from the English to the Chinese to the Malians – the choice in your quest for victory is truly yours.

Play through four campaigns covering 500 years of human history or pick up and play any of the 10 civilizations in multiplayer or single player matches. Age of Empires IV: Anniversary Edition supports up to 4K resolution and 60fps on Xbox Series X, and 1080p and up to 60fps on Xbox Series S.
