Alienware are doubling down on the accessories, as they double their offerings to players

Alienware have announced a big update to their accessories line up, including new headsets, keyboards, mice and more. The best news is that some of the options are coming very soon.

The new additions to the line up actually double the count of things offered by the company in the past, which means more choice for gamers. For example one of the new items is the AW720H, or if we go by the English name the Dual Mode Wireless Gaming Headset, it’s a first for the group. But that is skipping head, let us go through the items, starting with the AW920K, or by the understandable name the Tri-Mode Wireless Gaming Keyboard.

This keyboard is the companies first wireless gaming keyboard and provides tri-mode connectivity, a direct cable, Bluetooth or 2.4GHz. For those who do go wireless, the keyboard is set to offer 42 hours of life if you use the 2.4GHz connection or 46 hours if you go via Bluetooth, of course those numbers may vary.

Located at the top right are the new programmable Rocker Switch and Dial, which allow you to make quick adjustments to control media while keeping you concentrated on the game. The only real catch to that is that you need to have the Alienware Command Center software installed to gain full use of it, no word if any basic functions will work without it.

On the keyboard specifically, the Tri-Mode Wireless Gaming Keyboard comes standard with high precision, CHERRY MX Red switches and per-key RGB lighting, which again needs the command center to make full use of. The keyboard is set to release sometime in the second quarter of the year, no exact date has been announced yet.

Moving away from the keyboard the AW720H or Dual Mode Wireless Gaming Headset, will provide two connection methods for players. Those gaming on a PC can use the included 2.4GHz dongle, to allow for wireless connectivity and around 30 hours of battery. However if you want to use them on another device, you can connect the included 3.5mm cable, allowing for use on almost everything else around.

In terms of features, the headset sports a set of 40mm hi-res certified drivers and Dolby Atmos, creating 3D surround sound that is designed to amplify every in-game detail. The AI noise-cancelling boom microphone helps reduce the impact of ambient sounds on your voice, allowing for crisp communication amongst your friends, no matter how intense the sessions can get. The headset is available today in America, no local date has been announced.

For those who need more control, the Wireless Gaming Mouse or AW620M if you prefer, should help with that. With up to 26,000 DPI, 650 IPS, and 50G max acceleration, Alienware are confident you will get speedy, accurate clicking and no angle snapping for reliable precision with it. For marathon gaming sessions, the 2.4GHz wireless dongle connection offers up to 140 hours of battery life on a PC, though your milage may vary slightly. Plus if those sessions get to intense and you do run out of juice, a quick recharge for just five minutes will get up to 10 hours of continuous gameplay. The mouse is available today in America, no local date has been announced.

Also announced today was the Lunar White version of the existing AW420K, the Tenkeyless Gaming Keyboard, which features a more compact design. There is no difference to the one that released last year, outside of the colour. The keyboard is launching this week in America and should arrive here at the same time, or soon after.

Much like the AW270H above, the AW520H offers many of the same features, drivers, Dolby Atmos, retractable mic and more. The only real difference, this is a permanently corded headset, meaning no wireless, but as its a 3.5mm connection, it will work with most everything around. The headset is set to launch sometime in the second quarter of the year, no exact date has been announced yet.
