All new gameplay for A Plague Tale: Requiem is here, with the game coming in October
Focus Entertainment hosted their showcase overnight and for some reason it was almost 8 hours in length and only showed one game, A Plague Tale: Requiem, but as part of that showing, we got a release date for the game and a new extended gameplay reveal.
In the gameplay video below, follow Amicia and Hugo as they make their way through a massive ochre-red quarry overwhelmed with soldiers eager to capture them. Fortunately, the duo has many new tricks up their sleeve and doesn’t shy away from getting their hands dirty. Watch how it all plays out and get ready to embark on their heart-rending journey into a brutal, breathtaking world, and discover the cost of saving those you love in a desperate struggle for survival.
As for when you can go hands on with the game, that will happen on October 18th, with the game set to launch PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and in Cloud Version on Nintendo Switch. Two points of note, first the Switch release is unlikely to work here, given the lack of infrastructure, but you can still give it a go and secondly, the game is launching inside of Xbox and PC Game Pass on day one, so players there can just enjoy it as part of the membership.
For those who want everything, there is also going to be a Focus Entertainment store exclusive Collectors Edition. The Collector's Edition of A Plague Tale: Requiem includes:
The statue "Amicia & Hugo": a 21cm/8" resin statuette, finely detailed and painted
Hugo's Feather brooch: a fine metal brooch inspired by the feather ornaments worn by Hugo in the game
A vinyl of the OST: the game's enthralling soundtrack on a 45rpm vinyl (2 tracks), composed by Olivier Derivière (2 tracks)
3 lithographs: trois amazing A4 illustrations of A Plague Tale: Requiem
The game A Plague Tale: Requiem on your chosen platform. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions are delivered as a physical box with an alternative cover exclusive to the Focus Entertainment Store. PC versions are delivered as a digital Steam activation key.
You can get a proper look at the statue in the video below, but don’t get to excited for it, as local availability isn’t confirmed.
