Avast! Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii has been revealed
Sega and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio have announced a new entry in the popular Like A Dragon series, Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, which takes Goro Majima, gives him a dose of amnesia and then lets him become a pirate. Check out the announcement trailer to see what I mean.
In an unexpected twist of fate, Goro Majima, the infamous former yakuza, is marooned on a desolate island in the vast Pacific. With his memory a blank slate, he embarks on a perilous journey to rediscover his identity, joined by a young savior named Noah. Their adventure quickly escalates as they find themselves entangled in a fierce battle with ruthless criminals, contemporary pirates, and a host of villains, all vying for a fabled treasure.
Gather a unique crew and enhance your ship to carve your legend across the vast ocean. Engage in thrilling cannon battles with enemy pirates, form unexpected alliances, and amass wealth on your journey.
In the heat of battle, when an adversary's ship has you in their crosshairs, a heart-pounding cannon duel ensues. Dodge their volleys, position yourself strategically, and unleash powerful attacks. Board their vessel, defeat the captain, and emerge victorious in epic crew versus crew showdowns. Navigate the waters, uncover secret islands, and collect treasures worthy of a legendary yakuza pirate.
Dynamically switch between the “Mad Dog” and “Sea Dog” fighting styles to mix-up attacks and deliver explosive combos, juggles, and aerial takedowns that reward your creativity with over-the-top action.
With “Mad Dog” style, utilize speed, agility, and flair to deliver precise yet powerful blows that stun your enemies into submission.
Or make enemies walk the plank with the “Sea Dog” style that has you dual-wielding short swords and deploying tricky pirate tools to kick some serious booty.
The game itself is coming on February 28th for PlayStation, Xbox and PC.
