Bakeru is leaving Japan this September, so everyone can enjoy it

In 2023 developer Good Feel released a game that was a spiritual successor to the Mystical Ninja games, with many of the developers who made the original games working on this, but it was only released in Japan. Today publisher Spike Chunsoft have announced that they are bringing the game to the West and doing so next month.

The game will release on September 3rd and will offer players a chance to mix ninja type action, with musical touches. This is the description from the eShop, you can view the page here, as well as download the demo. Unlike the original release, which was Switch only, the game will also release onto PC via Steam the same day.

Disaster strikes Japan!

Battle on with Bakeru's drum!

Transform into fairy tale heroes!

By obtaining a Henge License, Bakeru can transform into whoever gave him the license. Transform into famous Japanese heroes like Kintaro and Momotaro to use their skills and abilities.

Additional features have been added to the Western release

・New Attack: Hurricane

・New Attack: Spinning Top

・Additional Enemy: Lantern Boss

When I was in Japan just a few weeks after the game released, I found a copy and was so tempted to take it with me, but the lack of English support meant it was not going to be worth it, so this new makes me very happy.
