Clair Obscure Expedition 33 is the debut game from Sandfall Interactive and takes what players love about JRPGs and brings it into the modern era, with it releasing this April. Check out the gameplay for the title below.

In the game, players will be able to dive into a Belle Époque-inspired world filled with surreal enemies, some truly breath-taking landscapes, and more than a few unforgettable characters.

This trailer introduces us to Monoco, the friendly, loyal, but incredibly bloodthirsty Gestral who collects the feet of his enemies to unlock the ability to transform into those very enemies, making full use of their skills.

Outside of battles, players will also get to meet Esquie, the Expedition’s larger-than-life companion. With his unique abilities, map exploration will be made all the easier as he can climb, swim, and soar across the map. Explore an overworld brimming with secrets, side quests, and challenges, and master reactive turn-based combat with real-time twists.

Of course the main goal is to stop the Paintress from wiping the number 33 off her monolith and replacing it with with a 32, which would kill all those aged 33, just like she did with 34 and higher.

The game is coming to Xbox Series X|S, pc and PlayStation 5, with the release date of April 24
