Cyberpunk 2077 delays its free content and updates until next year as well

CD Projekt Red have updated their roadmap for Cyberpunk 2077 content, following on from the recent news that the next-gen enhancement patches would be delayed into 2022, now the rest of the planned content is following it.

Part of the roadmap updated included some generic questions, along with answers and the most telling is this one:

Q: You have said there would be free DLC for the game in ‘early 2021’, will this be impacted by improvements?

A: We’re still planning on releasing free DLC for the game, just like with The Witcher 3. However, we have decided that our priority is working on the most important fixes and updates. So far, we have released the first DLC pack together with Patch 1.3, and we will be releasing more in the future — we’ll have more to say about that in the coming months.

This is now their current roadmap, which is not that detailed, but it highlights the delay. Interestingly, the DLC was meant to be worked out, outside of the next gen versions, so seeing all get delayed is a little weird.

If you want to learn more about their reasons for the delays and issues, you can check out the full roadmap FAQ here, though there is nothing that interesting in it.
