Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty gets a proper trailer and a release date
During the Xbox Games Showcase, developer CD Projekt Red and Keanu Reeves were on hand to reveal the first proper trailer for Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, check it out.
In Phantom Liberty, players once again take on the role of V, a cyberpunk for hire, as they embark on a mission to save the President of the New United States of America after her orbital shuttle is shot down over the deadliest district of Night City — Dogtown. What follows is a deep dive into an intricate story of espionage and political intrigue which connects the highest echelons of power with the brutal world of black-market mercenaries. The stakes are larger than life, but so is the reward — your very survival.
The game has a new cast of characters and will be lead by Idris Elba who plays Reed, a FIA agent. One of the other new characters is Songbird, who is tempting V with a cure. The only issue I have there is that one of the endings of the main game is a cure, so this is likely a new story set before those events.
The expansion is coming on September 26th for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC. While the game released for the last generation of consoles and the expansion was promised for them, even going so far to be included in the Xbox One console bundle, but the expansion is not included there.
