The update will go live on September 21st.

As for Phantom Liberty, one of the new aspects is a character called Solomon Reed, a spy who seeks out V for something, but they opened the show presentation with a cinematic trailer that shows a little of the history of Reed, check it out.

During the episode, there were more details were revealed about new elements and changes to gameplay. Game Director Gabe Amatangelo talked about the revamped perk and skill trees, and the completely new Relic skill tree that’s coming exclusively with the Phantom Liberty expansion. Also presented were three short videos featuring CD Projekt Red gameplay designers sharing their favourite character builds. You can check those out below.

As the revamped skill tree is such a big change from what was originally released, the team have released a web based version of the tree, so players can test out where they want to put points, before the expansion releases.

Finally, there is a behind the scenes video with Idris Elba, who breaks down the character of Solomon Reed and provides insight into the history, you can watch that below.

The 2.0 update for the base game will arrive on September 21st, with the expansion coming on September 27th. You can star building the hype by listening to the expansions soundtrack now. Both the 2.0 update and expansion are only for PC, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, with those owners of the Xbox One X Cyberpunk 2077 bundle getting a refund on the expansion, but like PlayStation 4 owners are missing out on the expansion itself.
