Deathbound picks up consoles in addition to its PC release
Tate Multimedia and developer Trialforge Studio have announced that Deathbound will also release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S later this year, in addition to the already announced PC version, check out the newest trailer for the game below.
Welcome to the grim and treacherous world of Deathbound, where the eternal conflict between Faith and Science shapes a dark fantasy reality. In this merciless realm, players encounter grotesque creatures and steadfast warriors. The journey is not for the faint of heart, and one must enlist the aid of Ziêminal’s deceased to stand a chance against the horrors that lie ahead. Players will forge bonds with these fallen heroes, each possessing distinct abilities and combat techniques, and learn to switch between them fluidly during battle using Deathbound’s unique 4-hero soulslike party system.
These fallen heroes are not mere tools of war; they are characters with deep backstories and individual talents, all housed within a single shared body. The dynamics of their relationships play a crucial role in the gameplay, as the intertwining of their pasts and beliefs significantly affects the outcome of battles. The game's world is divided by two opposing forces: the Church of Death and the Cult of Life. Placing characters from rival factions together can lead to strife and adverse effects in combat. However, aligning characters with similar ideologies can unlock powerful synergies, providing essential advantages against the formidable bosses that await, armed with both steel and sorcery.
The game is set to release later this year, but there is no set date for it at this time.
