Dell have unveiled one sleek and powerful laptop with the XPS 13 Plus

Ahead of CES 2022, Dell have announced that their impressive XPS line is getting a boost, with the new XPS 13 Plus, a laptop designed for the modern user, one that features some powerful internals, but also one excessively sleek exterior.

Designed from the ground up to make use of the latest 12th gen Intel CPU, which now features 28W of processing power, up from 15W on the last generation, coupled with new and larger fans that offer 55% more airflow, without increasing the amount of noise that it creates, the laptop is designed for those who want to work on the go and not feel like they are transporting a horse.

That should be obvious when you look at the casing for the laptop, everything that is considered unnecessary has been removed, in order to offer up the most seamless experience yet. You will notice that in any of the shots that there is no clear trackpad, that is because the traditional trackpad has been replaced by a seamless glass touchpad that provides haptic responses to the touch. Also the function keys at the top now being capacitive touch, it removes the need for physical keys for those less than frequent uses.

That has allowed the team to increase the size of the main keyboard keys, also known as a zero-lattice design, it now offers a more comfortable typing experience, perfect for those who type a lot. The entire look is defined by just how little there is to look at.

Of course, the screen is a big deal as well and can be obtained up to a 4K display, but regardless of the resolution that you seek, the entire line features the InfinityEdge tech, that keeps the bezels to be as small as possible. Meaning that the 13.4 inch display fills up almost the entire top portion of the laptop, making it feel larger than it actually is, which is no small feat on a laptop.

On the port side, there are two USB-C ports, both support Thunderbolt 4 and offer DisplayPort and Power Delivery, for those needing a USB-A port, there is one included adaptor, letting you connect an older device. As for power itself, there is a 60W AC adapter included, though given this is Dell, there is no word on if that is the size of a car or not.
