Discover how Spider-Man Remastered looks on PlayStation 5

PlayStation and Insomniac Games have shown off the first footage of Spider-Man Remastered, which is included in the Ultimate version of the Mile Morales release, more on that below, for now check out the game.

The game does look nice, but there is a bit of a controversy with it, as for some reason they recast the facial capture for Peter Parker. Officially they have said the follow:

In order to bring the best performances to players with our next-generation Marvel’s Spider-Man games, we have recast the face of Peter Parker. We loved working with John Bubniak on the original game; however, to get a better match to Peter Parker/Spider-Man actor Yuri Lowenthal’s facial capture, we have cast Ben Jordan to be the face model for Peter Parker on the PS5 console. He looks incredible in-game, and Yuri’s moving performances take on a new life.

I still can’t understand the change, if the animation wasn’t right, one would think you just redo it, with the original data, not recast a role. Check out the new look Peter Parker in the clip below.

Ok, now for how to get the remaster, you can’t buy it on its own, there are two ways you can get it. If you purchase the Ultimate version of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, you will get a voucher code to redeem that lets you download it.

If you start Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales on PlayStation 4 and then upgrade to the free PlayStation 5 version, or you start with the base game on PlayStation 5, you will be able to buy it, inside of the game, but it won’t be for sale on its own.
