Grid Legends is embracing the destruction as a new mode is added
Electronic Arts and Codemasters have announced that new DLC for Grid Legends is here, meaning that owners of the Season Pass can experience some car-nage as a fan favourite event returns.
Yes Destruction Derby has arrived in Grid Legends, bringing with it some new cars and tracks for players to smash it up on, but that is not all. It now sports the title Car-Nage and is just pure chaos, in the best way possible and also marks the return for the mode, since Grid Autosport a number of years ago.
To coincide with the new game mode, Voltz’s Valentin Manzi, played by Ncuti Gatwa, invites you to take on eight new Classic Car-Nage story events, themed around the new mode. Plus, there are three Special Events to unlock in Career. These can be played by completing new sponsor objectives linked to Classic Car-Nage.
Plus five additional fictional vehicles in the new Demo Derby class, each specifically designed with chaos in mind. The Beltra Frostbite, Beltra Hot Rod, Jupiter Freighter, Jupiter Eagleray Mk.5, and the Dumont Ute Titan have enhanced damage models that show the true extent of the devastation they will be inflicted with.
Racing in the events is simple, the catch is that if your car takes too much damage, ie the health drops too low, then its race over for you.
Thankfully there are four new routes specifically designed for Classic Car-Nage at Yokohama Docks and Havana, each with multiple crossovers, ramps, and obstacles for plenty of exciting pile-ups. The mode is also available in Race Creator too, so you can take the action online with friends with dozens of options to create your perfect Classic Car-Nage event.
Finally, there is also a general patch available for the game on all platforms, full patch notes here, but fixes a host of issues across the board.
