Hitman World of Assassination is getting a dangerous new elusive target this week

IO Interactive have announced that Hitman World of Assassination is getting another target for players to chase down, with The Splitter going live on December 12. The target will be played by Jean-Claude Van Damme, so he may not be as easy as some others. Check out the trailer for it below.

Jean-Claude Van Damme is set to portray Max Valliant, a former top ICA operative believed to be deceased, who unexpectedly resurfaces to seize control of an ICA data storage site for undisclosed reasons.

Taking place in Chongqing, Agent 47’s mission will be threefold: escorting an ICA board member within the facility, uncovering Max Valliant’s sinister agenda, and most importantly, taking down Max Valliant. A ruthless and unforgiving assassin whose only weakness seems to be his self-confidence; Max Valliant will not be like any other mission.

The Splitter will be accessible in the Free Starter Pack for newcomers and as a standard Elusive Target for existing HITMAN World of Assassination players, from December 12th, 2024, until January 12th, 2025.

For those players on PlayStation 5 who have upgraded to the PlayStation 5 Pro, the update that brings in The Splitter on December 12, will also enhance the game there. That means players will enjoy playing at a locked 60 Frames per Second, and at a resolution of 3840 x 2160.

Finally, also available on December 12 will be The Splitter Pack. This is a brand new DLC pack themed after the latest Elusive Target, will also be released on all platforms on the 12th of December. The Splitter Pack includes:

  • Permanent Access to the Replication – A two-level Arcade contract featuring The Splitter Elusive Target

  • The Splitter SMG

  • The Splitter Kukri Knife

  • The “Good Quar Vol. 3” VHS Tape

  • A set of six cosmetics for the Freelancer Safehouse inspired by the Elusive Target

The content will be available for all platforms, so that means PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Switch via its Cloud version.
