Hitman: World of Assassination - Signature Edition is launching on Switch 2
IO Interactive popped up in the recent Switch 2 Direct to reveal that Agent 47 is beginning his hunt on Switch 2 on release day, as Hitman: World of Assassination - Signature Edition is bringing all three games to the platform.
This is actually not the first time, at least one part of this release has hit a Nintendo platform, as Hitman 3 was released on Switch via the cloud streaming edition, it never got a release in Australia. This time however the entire trilogy is set to work on Switch 2, no cloud streaming required.
Yes, the Signature Edition includes Hitman, Hitman 2 and Hitman 3, as well as Contracts mode, Escalation, Elusive Target arcades, featured live content, Freelancer game mode, plus all HITMAN 2 Expansion Pack & HITMAN 3 Deluxe Pack content.
In the award-winning game, players control master assassin Agent 47 to explore stealth-based sandboxes and take down high-profile targets. Explore intricate, open-ended environments, using disguises, creative tools, and concealment tactics to execute missions. From the glamorous runways of a fashion show in Paris, to the dizzying heights of Dubai’s skyscrapers, or the rapturous crowd of a high-speed race in Miami, operatives will travel all around the world to find their next target. The gameplay emphasizes strategy, improvisation, and replayability, rewarding experimentation and attention to detail.
Also, there are some special Switch 2 only releases, which give you the chance to embrace the inner Mario and Luigi of Agent 47, and yeah.. a Luigi themed assassination set is a choice.
The game is releasing on June 5, the same day as Switch 2 releases and will be available physically and digitally, with pre-orders being open soon.
