NBA 2K25 has been announced, along side the games cover stars
It must be getting close to September, as 2K have announced the cover stars for this years NBA 2K title, which is called NBA 2K25 and will launch on September 6.
The game will come in three versions here, Standard Edition, All-Star Edition and Hall of Fame Edition, with each having its own cover. Kicking things off with the Standard Edition, the cover star for this game will be five-time NBA All-Star Boston Celtics Forward and reigning NBA Champion Jayson Tatum.
The Standard Edition will be available for on PlayStation, Xbox, PC and Switch.
For those looking for a little more to kick start their basketball journey, there is the All-Star Edition. Joining Tatum on the cover is back-to-back WNBA Champion, two-time WNBA MVP and six-time WNBA All-Star Las Vegas Aces Forward, A’ja Wilson.
This version will come to all the platforms as above, meaning all of them and will include the game along with the following:

The final edition is the Hall of Fame Edition, which will available for PlayStation, Xbox and PC, no Switch. On its over is the 2024 Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Inductee, eight-time All-Star and two-time All-NBA Team and NBA dunk contest legend, Vince Carter.

That last item is a 12 month subscription to watching NBA games live from home. For some reason, 2K are saying the digital only version of the game will be on sale through September 8th, so roughly 72 hours after the game releases.
So the game is coming on September 6th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Switch.
For those looking for Crossplay, that will only be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Also PC players are finally getting the same version as the current-gen consoles, so MyNBA, The W and The City, but no Crossplay.
PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Switch will get reskinned releases of last year, as no new additions have been announced at this time.
