PlayStation removed the 2021 release year from Gran Turismo 7

While it was never officially dated, PlayStation have updated their PlayStation 5 Launch Trailer to remove the fact that Gran Turismo 7 is no longer releasing in the first half of 2021.

In the initial release, it had the text on the screen stating ‘Gran Turismo, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Returnal: Anticipated first half 2021 and in the new version below, it has lost the Gran Turismo portion. Well, it hasn’t lost it per say, it just now states that the game is in development for the console.

What is interesting is that Horizon Forbidden West is still listed for its second half release in 2021, but Gran Turismo 7 does not have any year listing.

Again, as the game didn’t have any sort of official release date, it can’t technically be delayed, but given that it lost 2021 entirely from its description in the trailer, it does not bode well for it.

Either way, time will tell and who knows, it might be out much sooner than expected, with a trailer dropping this week during The Game Awards.
