PlayStation VR is not going to work on PlayStation 5 games.. at this stage

It has been confirmed to UploadVR, that those PlayStation VR gamers, who can get a free adaptor to have the headset work on the PlayStation 5, will not be able to play their PlayStation VR games with PlayStation 5 versions of games like Hitman 3 or No Man’s Sky.

Specifically the Sony rep that UploadVR spoke with confirmed “We have not announced PS5 titles for PS VR“

Basically, if you want to play Hitman 3 in VR, then you need the PlayStation 4 version, if you get the PlayStation 5 the game won’t let you play in VR.

How this plays out in the future is still up for grabs, but for now it seems that PlayStation VR is going to be limited to backwards compatibility.
