PlayStation VR2 is looking to add PC support

In a post on the PlayStation Blog, where PlayStation revealed new games and updates for existing one for the PlayStation VR2 headset, there was a small bit of text that might give people more hope.

Yes, PC support for the headset is being looked at. This is of course no confirmation that they are actually going to do it, companies look at things all the time, but given how little its selling on PlayStation 5, it makes sense.

Right now, if you wanted to get into the world of PlayStation VR2 and didn’t own the console, you are out of pocket $800 for the console and then another $900 for the headset, before you buy a single game. If you already have the console then its just the headset, the problem of course is that many of the games for it are multiplatform titles, so they are not being made to make the most of the headset.

So if they add in PC support, which a few modders have already done through various means, then it opens up the headset to work with far more games and even those who don’t own the PlayStation 5 can still enjoy it.

For now we need to wait and see how they go with their plans, because as I said looking into things doesn’t mean they will happen.
