Project Cars 3 is real and coming very soon

Out of nowhere, Slightly Mad Studios and Bandai Namco have announced Project Cars 3, with a planned release date for Winter 2020 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Check out the announcement trailer below.

We now have a few more details for the game, as the official site has gone live. The game will feature over 200 cars for your driving pleasure, with a combination of street and race cars being included. As for tracks, there are over 140 circuits to race around, what they are is still unknown, but I would expect to see some classics like Laguna Seca and the Nürburgring tracks to appear.

On top of that, the game is promising that you will be able to customise almost every aspect of the game, from the assists to help you stay on the track, if you are like me and not that great at racing sim games; to the driver you see in the cars.

As you complete races, you will earn credits and XP, which in turn can be used to unlock more cars, get new stickers and paint jobs, so your car’s liveries can be as unique as yourself and of course, parts to upgrade the cars performance.

Returning will be the dynamic weather system that Project CARS 2 brought into it, along with the 24-hour cycle and dynamic seasons. Plus if you have the PC for it, full VR support and visuals up to 12K.

Original content

Apart from the trailer, the only information we have is this blurb about the game.

Get ready for Your Ultimate Driver Journey. Own, upgrade and customize hundreds of elite-brand road and race cars. Personalize your racing hero persona. And then race your way up from weekend warrior to racing legend in stunning global locations.

It is a little weird to see the Bandai Namco name on the game, given the studio was bought out by Codemasters last year, but either way, the game looks good, just hope it plays as well as it looks.
