School is back in session with The Sims 4s latest expansion, High School Years

EA and Maxis have announced that you will get the chance to go back and live your high school years all over again, with the new expansion for The Sims 4 called High School Years. While not the most creative name for an expansion, it does offer a lot, check out the trailer to see what I mean.

While the high school experience shown above is more likely to seem familiar to American graduates, there are likely going to be some parallels to schools down under. Regardless, once you have enrolled in Copperdale High, things will never be the same, as in the halls you will go to class, get a chance to build new friendships and more.

During school hours, Sims attend class, hang out with friends, have lunch in the cafeteria, take weekly exams, and hopefully avoid being scolded by the principal who patrols the halls! After school, students can participate in activities like football, cheerleading, chess, and computer clubs, go to events like the science fair, or head home to their poster-filled bedroom to complete their homework.

In terms of extracurriculars, teen Sims can join an after-school club or team like football or cheer, practice these skill related activities, participate in competitions, and experience the highs and lows of winning and losing alongside your teammates.

You’ll even have the opportunity to navigate through the challenges and joys of young love, whether it’s the blissfulness of the crush stage, or the woes of a teenage breakup. A word of advice: Plumbite Pier is the perfect date spot! There is an amusement park with a haunted house, tunnel of love, a ferris wheel, and a photobooth for memories.

There is a lot more to learn about this school and its before, during and after school activities, so head on over to the official site. The expansion is set to launch on July 28 for all platforms, so that is PC, Mac, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.
