Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin has been revealed
There was some talk leading into the show and turns out it was real, as Square Enix ended their recent Square Enix Presents with the reveal of Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, think Dark Souls meets Final Fantasy, check out the trailer.
Being developed by Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja, the folks behind the Nioh series, this is a new take on the Final Fantasy series and is coming in 2022 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
“While it is FINAL FANTASY, it feels different—but there's no doubt that the blood of FINAL FANTASY runs through its veins,” said Tetsuya Nomura, Creative Producer for STRANGER OF PARADISE FINAL FANTASY ORIGIN. “We've undertaken the challenge of finding this difficult middle ground for this mature and stylish title. We need a little time until we're able to complete it, and while the battle system is a bloody one, it does link to the story, so I hope you'll use this opportunity to give it a try.”
