Tekken 8 is set to hold a Closed Network Test this July

Bandai Namco have announced that Tekken 8 will welcome selected players in this July, as they put the game through some online stress tests. Only those who register and are selected, will be allowed to take part, with the event running across two weekends.

PlayStation 5 owners will get a weekend all to themselves, when the event runs from July 21st, 6 p.m. AEST – July 24th, 5 p.m. AEST, so yeah for them.

Everyone else will need to wait until the following weekend, that is Xbox Series X|S and PC, with PlayStation 5 also allowed back in. The times for this second weekend are July 28th, 6 p.m. AEST – July 31st, 5 p.m. AEST.

Both weekends will see a 3 hour maintenance window during their runs, in order to ensure things are working as expected, but otherwise there will be no restrctions.

If you want to register for your chance to take part, you can do that here. The full breakdown of what is included, can be found here, but for the first time the game will allow players hands on with 16 characters from Jin to Kazuya, Nina to Asuka. Plus there will be 5 stages to battle it out on.
