The battle begins this year when Earth vs Mars hits PC

Relic Entertainment split from Sega last year, but they were not going to just keep doing what they were doing. They started up a new group inside the company called Relic Labs, a place for smaller scope games to be made and Earth vs Mars is the debut release and is coming this Winter to PC. Check out the reveal trailer below.

The aim of the game is to win the war, but humans might not be enough to get the job done. Thankfully while Martians have been invading the planet for years, taking humans and animals alike back to their world, we have the same tech they do, the Splice-O-Tron.

With this new machine, players will be able to combine humans and animals, to create incredibly powerful warriors, who can join alongside your existing humans. Players will also get to use a number of more traditional human war machines like tanks and planes to help as well.

Beyond the games 30 hand-crafted missions, complete with an over-arching narrative, players will also be able to battle against other commanders with the games 1v1 online multiplayer. If playing against other humans is a bit much, the game does have an AI versus mode, where you can test your skills out in a number of skirmishes and if you want some real control, there is a map editor.

The game does not have a release date yet, the group at Relic have said ‘Summer 2025’ which for us in Winter, but we just need to wait and see. Right now the game is only coming to PC, but that could change if it does well enough.
