The Blood of Dawnwalker reveals its gameplay via an extended preview

Over the weekend, developer Rebel Wolves and Bandai Namco revealed the first gameplay for The Blood of Dawnwalker, the new RPG that puts players in control of Coen and then gives them 30 days to save their family. Check it out.
Something the developers were keen to point out with the footage above is this:
Captured on PC from the latest pre-beta build of the game, the trailer footage reflects the actual game state as of today without any additional post-capture cleanup. This footage does not represent the final level of quality and polish of the game, and Rebel Wolves is committed to transparent and honest communication that presents the game in its latest production environment. This is to give players a clear understanding of how the project will evolve over time.
There are times when I spotted a few issues, but it’s looking pretty decent already and with the game coming out in 2026, there is more than enough time for them to dial things in.
The big thing for the game is that you only have 30 days to save your family and during the day, Coen is just a normal person, well normal-ish. Because as a Dawnwalker, Coen is neither fully human nor entirely vampire. By day, he can wield both a sword and use magical runes in the form of bloody scars etched on his skin. However, at night, Coen embraces his supernatural instincts, and unlocks an entirely new powerset. His nocturnal abilities include lethal vampiric claws and Shadowstep, a skill that allows him to swiftly navigate across rooftops.
The game is coming in 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, but no firmer date is known at this time.
