The Last of Us Season 2 gets a teaser trailer and an April premiere
For some unexplainable reason, during CES 2025 at the Sony press conference, a teaser trailer for Season 2 of The Last of Us was revealed, also confirming it will premiere in April, an exact date was not given.
The reason why its weird to get a trailer for the show via CES is that the full name of the show in Las Vegas is the Consumer Electronics Show. This is where tech companies show off their new tv’s, new washing machines, new cars and new hardware that you have never experienced before. E3 was born out of this show originally, but TV shows and movies have never really been apart of it, until now it seems.
Either way, the seven episode second season will being in April, but an exact date was not given. The show itself will pick up five years after the events of the first season, Joel and Ellie are drawn into conflict with each other and a world even more dangerous and unpredictable than the one they left behind.
Season two returning cast includes Pedro Pascal as Joel, Bella Ramsey as Ellie, Gabriel Luna as Tommy, and Rutina Wesley as Maria. Previously announced new cast includes Kaitlyn Dever as Abby, Isabela Merced as Dina, Young Mazino as Jesse, Ariela Barer as Mel, Tati Gabrielle as Nora, Spencer Lord as Owen, Danny Ramirez as Manny, and Jeffrey Wright as Isaac. Catherine O’Hara also guest stars.
In addition to the teaser trailer and release window, we also got three cool looking posters for the show.
The show will be on Max in North America, which means it will be on Binge here in Australia.
