The latest development update for Diablo IV is here
Blizzard have been doing quarterly update for Diablo IV for a while now, and they have now released the one for their second quarter, showing off a lot more information about characters, their creation and customisation.
Game Director Luis Barriga kicked off the update explaining why character was such an important aspect of the Diablo experience, both in terms of player classes and the monsters you fight. Each aspect of the design has to be unique, much like that of the Simpsons, seeing their silhouette should still make that character distinguishable from the rest.
Diablo IV offers players more customization options than ever in a Diablo game, which makes achieving that result more challenging, but the outcome is well worth it. Your Barbarian is different from anyone else’s but still feels undeniably like a Barbarian. With monsters, the focus has been on creating new foes and updating classics drawn from the pantheon of atrocities in our previous games, while using new processes and technology to their fullest.
One of the aspects revealed in the update is that each player will have a lair, though not like a bad guy lair, just a nice place to rest, but it is also where they can change aspects of their characters.
Diablo IV features a new wardrobe system that will allow you to customise almost every single aspect of your characters look, from the hundreds of armour components, unique for your selected class, along with the range of colours for them, it will allow for no two characters to look the same.
The full update is worth a read, because they go into a lot more information about the character design process and beyond, check it out here. For now, you can enjoy some art from the game, but as for when the game is out, that is unknown, but Diablo II Resurrected is coming to all platforms this September.
