The Metal Gear Solis Master Collection Vol 1 reveals its full line up
Konami recently announced the first volume of the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection, during the PlayStation Showcase, but details were very light on just what it contained.
While the initial image showed off the three Metal Gear Solid titles, it seems there was more to be included. Thanks to a listing on the PlayStation Store, the full line up has been announced and it contains:
Metal Gear
Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake
Metal Gear Solid (Including VR Missions/Special Missions)
Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (HD Collection version)
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (HD Collection version)
As you can see it not only includes the three Solid games, but also the original Metal Gear titles from way back in the 80s. There is no word however if the Metal Gear title is the original 1987 MSX2 game or the 1988 NES version, the second one being done without Kojima-san.
We have confirmation that regional versions of the titles are available as additional downloads, the extent of that is unknown however. Will it be all of the games or only a few?
Of course, Gamecube fans will note the absence of Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes, the updated version of the original MGS, but that is no surprise as that game is rare and it seems that rarity extends to digital platforms.
Speaking of platforms, we only know that the collection is going to PlayStation, there is no word on if its PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 or both. But given most of the Konami collections appear on all platforms, this should as well. For now we do have screens from the 3 Solid games, which you can enjoy below.
