The Starfield Direct delivered a lot of information

As was promised, Bethesda hosted a Starfield Direct right after the Xbox Games Showcase and included within was over 45 minutes of information, from ship customisation to base construction, from player stats to romantic encounters and more.

If you don’t have the full 45 minutes to spare, check out the below trailer, which will give you an idea of what to expect in the game.

For those seeking a full breakdown, the complete Starfield Direct can be viewed below.

As for getting the game, there are a few options. Of course the game will be included in Game Pass on day one, so members of the service can just get the game via that. Like Redfall a special digital upgrade option will be available for those who want to get the extra content for their Game Pass release.

For those who want to buy their games there are three options, the standard release, which is just the game and that will provide access on September 6th.

If you want extra content or a few days early access, you will want to get either the Starfield Premium Edition or the Starfield Constellation Edition. Here is what is included in the first of the two.

Starfield Premium Edition includes:

  • Starfield Base Game

  • Shattered Space Story Expansion (upon release)

  • Up to 5 days early access

  • Constellation Skin Pack: Equinox Laser Rifle, Spacesuit, Helmet and Boost Pack

  • Access to Starfield Digital Artbook & Original Soundtrack

For those who want the very special edition, that is the Starfield Constellation Edition, it includes the following:

  • Starfield Base Game

  • Shattered Space Story Expansion (upon release)

  • Up to 5 days early access

  • Starfield Chronomark Watch and Case

  • SteelBook® Display Case

  • Constellation Skin Pack: Equinox Laser Rifle, Spacesuit, Helmet and Boost Pack

  • Access to Starfield Digital Artbook & Original Soundtrack

  • Constellation Patch

  • Credit Stick with Laser-Etched Game Code

There are some restrictions on a few things, first up the early access. Bethesda have been clear that the early access may be impacted by time zones, so it could be 4 days not 5 and there is a chance outages could stop it.

The second thing to know is that the watch is not a smart watch, while it will connect to your phone and provide notifications, it does not transmit phone calls, does not support cellular service, and is not a touch screen device.
