Total War: Empire will invade mobile device later this year
Feral Interactive have revealed that they are working on the Total War series once again, with Empire the 2009 game, announced as coming to mobile devices later this year. In celebration of the news, the team have released a cinematic trailer for the game.
In the game players assume the mantle of leadership over the major European nations during an age marked by swift scientific progress, significant political upheavals, and extensive military confrontations. As the commander of one of eleven distinct factions, players navigate a Campaign Map that encompasses Europe, India, and the Americas. The objective is to solidify internal authority while simultaneously venturing to gain a stronghold on new territories. Factions must employ astute diplomacy or raw power to enhance their international influence and ensure the welfare of their populace. This involves mobilizing armies, fleets, and special agents to safeguard and advance their interests, both domestically and on foreign soil.
While Feral Interactive have brought both Total War: Rome and Total War: Medieval II to mobile, Empire will be the first in the series to offer naval battles, so you could be on a cruise ship and try your hand at naval warfare.
The game is set to release later this year for both iOS and Android devices, but as mobile games tend not to have a release date until they known for certain, we won’t get a date until the game is good and ready.
