Your first look at Super Nintendo World is here

Nintendo just hosted their first non-game related Direct, which took a quick tour of Super Nintendo World, which opens on February 4 at Universal Studios Japan.

The Direct, which you can watch below, shows off some of the interactive elements, explorable locations, shopping and dinning and a little more inside the queue of the Mario Kart ride.

If you have been following along with construction, you will notice that there was nothing shown from the second ride, which stars a whole host of Yoshi’s, so there are plenty of secrets to discover still.

On the food side, there seems to be a mushroom trend on a lot of the items, including the popcorn, so just be aware of that. Thankfully, when cooked properly, mushroom can be a real tasty part of a dish.

As far as collectables go, there will be plenty of things to buy, from the Popcorn Bucket, that is shaped like the iconic star, to an exclusive Mario figure.

Called Tokotoko Mario, this is a unique figure that moves, without you needing to insert batteries, if you walk it forward, Mario walks. There will be two types of toys for it as well, so you can pick the one you want, at least you could if you were there, because again they are exclusive to the land.
