Disco Elysium gets one creative new update with the addition of the Collage Mode

ZA/UM Studio have announced that Disco Elysium has been updated on PC today, with consoles to come over the next few days. The update delivers the Collage Mode, which lets players create and set scenes in and around Martinaise.

So what is Collage Mode, in simplest terms it lets you create your own scenes within the game. Players will have access to characters, environments, effects, and custom dialogue to create the screenshots that they have always desired and fabricate completely new dramas from unforgivable punch-ups to fruity yet forbidden kisses.

This latest update offers a completely new way to explore the world of Disco Elysium as it’s simultaneously a doll house, a blank canvas, and a storytelling machine. We made this for our hugely talented fans as we’ve spent years admiring everything they create, from luscious paintings to memorable short stories and amazing cosplay — now we hope there will be much more! We only ask that they please go easy on Kim Kitsuragi, he can only take so much love.

In this mode you can place characters in any scene, rotate and resize them as well and then you can assign a pose. You can also add text to the screen, either big and bold or inside the text bubbles just like the real game. As with most videogame photo modes, there are also filters and effects you can use and if all that wasn’t enough there are also stickers… yep, stickers.

The update is out now on PC, but is rolling out over a few days on consoles, so check on yours throughout the week.
