F-Zero 99 is getting a classic addition this month
F-Zero 99, the battle royale racing game is getting a new update tomorrow that will add in a more traditional F-Zero experience and more.
Once you select the new mode, there will be some changes that you will have to adjust to, the first being that the aspect ratio is going to shrink, to match the original Super Nintendo game. In addition the number of players is going to be cut into 5ths, with only 20 racers on the track, for those used to the newer options like the Skyway and Spin Attack, those will be disabled in this mode.
The game will also include what the Japanese presser is calling a Lucky Card. Players will be issued a card with a series of numbers on it and at the end of 5 races, the car numbers that come in the top positions will need to match to the numbers on your card. If they match you will be rewarded with experience points, tickets and more.
Nintendo have promised that more updates are coming, but there is no telling when they will arrive.
