Get a Backbone for your PlayStation, a PlayStation Edition Backbone controller that is
In a bit of a surprising move, Backbone, the controller makers have announced that there is a new model available, the PlayStation Edition of their popular Backbone One.
This new PlayStation Edition isn’t just a white version of the existing Backbone One, which is black, but rather it was designed in collaboration between the folks at Backbone and PlayStation.
That means the face buttons look exactly like they do on a PlayStation 5 DualSense controller, the colours also match, so you can enjoy the same white colouring as the rest of the PlayStation 5 line up.
It is important to note that while there is a special look for the remote play app, once you connect your iPhone to the Backbone One - PlayStation Edition, it is still the same Remote Play app that you can get today on your iPhone, Android or computer and you don’t need this controller to use remote play.
The controller has the same connection offerings as the original release, so you can charge your phone whilst using it or connect a wired headset. You can also connect a Pulse 3D headset directly to it, if you want to keep the cords away whilst you play. The Backbone One does not need charging, as it runs off your phone.
As for getting one, you can order it now direct from Backbone, with the price being $180, so it is a pricy option. Something of note, the PlayStation Edition is only available in white and only for iPhone, so android users can enjoy a black option, but that is it.
