Powerwash Simulator 2 is turning the water back on later this year

Developer FuturLab have announced that PowerWash Simulator 2 is turning the water back on later in 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Check out the announcement trailer for the game below.

The first game was published by Square Enix, but due to the success, the developers are able to self publish this one, which is a big deal for them.

We couldn’t be more thrilled to finally announce the sequel to one of our most successful titles. With over 17 million players worldwide, PowerWash Simulator has allowed us to self-publish a sequel, an exciting challenge we are delighted to undertake. We look forward to bringing players the next step-up in the PowerWash Simulator series.
— Chris Mehers, COO of FuturLab

Soap, what makes this sequel one to get all clean over, well how about shared campaign progression, both online and on the couch. Yes, in addition to online play, split-screen co-op has entered the chat. Team up and take on the dirt with twice the wash-power, from the convenience of one screen.

PowerWash Simulator 2 feels like a natural evolution from its predecessor. The original game’s design was all about eliminating anything that detracted from the pure satisfaction of taking something dirty and making it clean. PowerWash Simulator 2 is all about adding in even more avenues for players to achieve that same sense of satisfaction, with new tools, features and quality of life improvements. We’re really excited to see players dust off their power washers and get stuck into this brand-new campaign, that brings you even more to clean, and even more ways to release the pressure.
— Dan Chequer, Design Director at FuturLab

One of the other new additions is the that of your own base. Once your done with a cleaning job, you can return to it and relax, displaying items from your adventures and likely a little beyond that. You can even invite other players to check it out.

Right now the game is only announced for 2025, but that will likely change soon. The game is coming to PlayStation 5, PC and Xbox Series X|S.
