Romance of the Three Kingdoms 8 Remake drops a new trailer
As part of their Tokyo Games Show line up, Koei Tecmo have released a new trailer and details for Romance of the Three Kingdoms 8 Remake, which releasing this October 24th for Switch, PC and PlayStation. First check out the new trailer.
In the game, players step into the shoes of an officer, with the power to shape their character's life and alter the course of historical events. Decisions made by the players can have significant impacts on their officer's personal life, including marriage and parenthood. To acquire a "Spouse," players must meet specific criteria, such as strengthening a bond with another officer or completing certain "Tales" events. Additionally, players have the freedom to engage in romances that are not historically accurate or to marry fictional characters introduced during gameplay. These "Spouses" will eventually join the game as regular officers within the same faction as the player. Establishing a synergistic relationship with a "Spouse" provides players with numerous advantages, including support during "Missions" and "Training," along with "Link" and "Assistance" benefits.
In the game, as players engage with their in-game spouses, they may have a child, initiating a series of events titled "Raising a Child." The decisions players make throughout these events will shape the child's abilities and traits, some of which may be inherited. Upon reaching 16 years of age, the child will join the player's faction. Should the player's character perish, or once the child comes of age, the game allows players to switch their role to that of the child, thus continuing their legacy within the game.
The latest game update introduces an array of enhancements, including a novel mechanic known as "Wisdom." This new feature is pivotal for learning diverse tactics, acquiring skills, and facilitating officer progression. Players can accrue "Wisdom" through mission completion, combat, and notably, by fostering deeper bonds among officers. These interactions are now more vital than before, as the "Wisdom" gained is contingent on the specific tactics and skills of the officers involved. This adds a layer of strategy to relationships, compelling players to judiciously select the officers they wish to connect with based on the desired tactics and skills.
There is less than a month until the game releases, with it coming to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PC and and Switch on October 24th.
