The War Rages On This October with Romance Of The Three Kingdoms 8 Remake Date For Release
Koei Tecmo have announced that Romance Of The Three Kingdoms 8 Remake will arrive this October 24th for Switch, PlayStation and PC. Check out the new trailer for the game below.
Romance Of The Three Kingdoms 8 Remake is based on Romance Of The Three Kingdoms VIII with Power Up Kit, featuring both the "All Officers Play" and "All Periods Scenarios" options. It includes a variety of new content to provide the most comprehensive Romance of the Three Kingdoms experience yet.
The number of playable officers has increased from around 600 to 1,000. With these new additions, players can explore new events and relationships between officers for a more authentic experience. The "All Periods Scenarios" feature now offers over 55 scenarios, including fictional ones, making it the largest number in the series' history. From the end of the Eastern Han dynasty to the final age of the Three Kingdoms period, players can choose any officers and periods, creating numerous combinations for a unique experience each time.
The evolved "All Officers Play" feature allows players to control powerful rulers, their officers, or be a free officer and join a vagrant army. This offers a fresh and unique experience each time, thanks to numerous new features and the variety of relationships formed both on and off the battlefield, highlighted by "Symbiotic" and "Antagonistic" relationships.
Romance of the Three Kingdoms 8 Remake introduces a unique strategy element with the addition of powerful and distinctive "Traits." These traits help officers stand out by granting them special abilities based on their historical achievements or memorable anecdotes. For instance, Cao Cao can act twice in council, and Liu Bei can always meet with officers successfully.
The game also enhances the variety of relationships through new elements. Players can monitor the evolving dynamics of each relationship using the "Relationship Chart." This chart displays connections like "Sworn Siblings" and "Spouses," as well as special relationships such as "Destined Partners," "Rivals," and "Sworn Enemies." It also shows various "Symbiotic" and "Antagonistic" connections. As relationships deepen, "Linked Forge" may occur during battles and missions, allowing for enhanced performance beyond individual capabilities in various situations.
The game is releasing on October 24th as a digital only release for PC, PlayStation and Switch.
